Welcome to my blog!

Upon finishing university three months ago, I was struggling to decide what I wanted to do next. Having been in education all my life (from kindergarten to university), I thought it would be nice to have a little break before pursuing further studies.

In the last year I have become passionate about the environment and what we, as citizens of the planet, can do to help save it. I found it easy to feel helpless with the kinds of information available online, because yes, a lot of things are happening and there wasn't very much I felt I could do to slow it down. The truth is that big corporations have so much more power than individual beings, but systemic change cannot happen without individual change. As Greta Thunberg said, "if you look through history, all the big changes in society have been started by people at the grassroots level, people like you and me."

So when I decided to start this blog and YouTube channel, my hope was to share some information about the climate emergency our planet is facing, as well as simple changes we can make to our lifestyle that is more eco-friendly to inspire others to do the same. Just a little disclaimer: most of what I will be sharing will be my own opinions, but any facts/statistics will be referenced properly where shared.

The more we talk about the issues we face, the more we educate ourselves, the more corporations listen to us. It's all about supply and demand. Yes, they have the power, but once we start demanding change, they are going to have to start supplying it.

In the coming months, I hope to share a variety of blogs and videos about these topics and I am open to discussion on anything I share so please feel free to comment on posts/videos or message me privately. Thank you for reading my introduction to this blog!
